Youth Leadership

Rotary Youth Leadership Program is a seven-day leadership program for 18 – 25 year old’s. An amazing program focusing on personal development, leadership topics such as conflict resolution, public speaking and mental health.

We have been actively sponsoring participants to the RYLA program now for years. Meeting at Rosie Erasmus’s home. Rosie the current president of RCOG was the RYLA Administrator two years in a row.

Career Development

National Youth Science Forum Runs a number of programs to encourage young people in their passion for Science.

It’s a 12 day program for year 12 students designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to encourage continued studies in this field. RCOG has and continues to raise funds and sponsor participants.

Youth Leadership – One And All Program

We support this by running our own Youth Sailing Project were we actively encourage young people to partake in this sailing experience. Not only do they learn to sail on the One And All tall ship, but gain valuable leadership and team work experience as well.

Every year our club sponsors a young person to take part in this wonderful experience.
