Supporting The Homeless

Our most well-known annual Local Community Project is “Supporting The Homeless”. To raise funds for this cause we run a annual event called the Cold Plunge were we raise funds for the homeless in our local community. All proceeds go to charities that do fantastic work for the Homeless and less fortunate in our community.

When is it in 2022?

BBQ breakfast 9am Sunday 18th September, 2022, come down and join in the fun.

Where is it?

The Grassed area out the front of the Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club.

What else is on?

Join us for for a cooked breakfast from 9am before the main event, the Cold Plunge at 10am.

What do I need to bring?

What’s on after the plunge?

Hot showers are available at the Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club Rooms. There’s a cake stall and BBQ breakfast available and, of course the bar & restaurant will be open upstairs.

So why not join us this year at the Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club. Plungers and Non-Plungers are welcome and be apart of the fun and support those in need.

Past Cold Plunge Outcomes

In 2018 the Cold Plunge project raised just over $12,700 and had 55 registrations. A great outcome for the Homeless.

In 2019 our aim was again to raise $15,000 and 100 registrations, but unfortunately, we fell just shy of this. If you would like to show your support for this great cause, please click the Donate button.
