Paul, Chair of the Rotary Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Prevention Committee for District 9510, recently joined Rob McLennan on Coast FM 88.7 to discuss Rotary’s commitment to building safer, more respectful communities and helping make South Australia a State of Peace.
In response to the recommendations of the South Australian Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, Rotary District 9510 is mobilising its extensive network of members and clubs to support positive community change. With Rotary members serving communities across South Australia and beyond, the organisation is uniquely placed to promote awareness, respect, and meaningful action.
As part of this vision, Rotary District 9510 is planning a Walk for Respect on Saturday, 7 November 2026, inspired by the successful initiative first established in Ballina, New South Wales. Community members and Rotary members will be encouraged to wear purple and walk together in support of respectful relationships, safer communities, and the prevention of domestic, family, and sexual violence.
The Walk for Respect aims to bring people together in a visible show of support for a culture of peace, dignity, and mutual respect. Through collective action and community engagement, Rotary continues to champion initiatives that create lasting social impact and strengthen the communities we call home.

Tony J, Sarah A, Wayne S, Rebecca H, and Bronwyn K, together with our community partner Kieser Gym, recently volunteered their time to support the Daffodil Day Fundraiser for Cancer Research.
Passionate about giving back to the community, the team spent the day helping raise awareness and funds for vital cancer research and support services. Their involvement highlighted the power of community partnerships and the impact that collective action can have in supporting those affected by cancer.
Daffodil Day is an opportunity to come together in hope, honour those whose lives have been touched by cancer, and contribute towards life-changing research. Through their volunteer efforts, Tony, Sarah, Wayne, Rebecca, and Bronwyn helped make a meaningful contribution to this important cause.
